Star of the Celle stallion parade and 1994 Hanoverian Licensing Champion, the black 16-hand Escudo II is the only stallion in North America who appears in the Hanoverian Topliste for both jumpers and type besides Pablo. Escudo II is in the Hanoverian Jumper Breeding Program (JBP) and has the highest breed value for type of any Hanoverian jumper stallion (151 type and 134 conformation). His FN rating is 103 for dressage and 128 for jumping. Escudo II is a Class I stallion who completed his testing at Adelheidsdorf with 125.63, placing fourth out of 43 stallions with 117.56 for dressage and 125.73 for jumping. Sire Espri, 1995 Stallion of the Year, has produced 58 Grand Prix offspring (8 dressage, 50 jumping) with over 2.2 million dollars in winnings so far. World Cup winner E.T. FRH with Hugo Simon, Enrico 134 with Lars Nieburg, World Breeding Champion Edgar 12, Olympian Esprit de Valdemar and the Escudo brothers are some of his most well-known. Escudo II’s dam, SPS Athene, who scored a high 7.82 for her performance test, is by the State Stud stallion Arkansas who stems from the same line as Wanderer, the leading sire of show jumpers. SPS Athene also produced Federal Championship finalist Erik 18 and Escudo I. Escudo I won show jumping competitions, the Federal Vice Championship at Warendorf and the Five-Year-Old Championships at Dobrock. Escudo II has produced ten licensed sons, several Grand Prix show jumpers, 13 States Premium mares and 45 offspring that have been selected for Hanoverian auctions. That he passes on his talent and ideal riding horse type is reflected in his high breed values. Escudo II offspring have received very high movement scores, have been named site Champions and earned Premiums. In Canada at Windswept Farm and Spruce Meadows, Escudo II foals were respectively named site Champions and Reserve Champions. Sibling Escudo I was the 2009 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year.
